My Doll Went Travelling 我的娃娃去旅行

I remember that bad day when I was a little girl. I was in the city park and I found out I had lost my favourite doll. I couldn’t hold back（克制） my tears， and just then， a kind man came over and asked， “What’s going on？”

“My favourite doll is gone. I cannot find her.” I cried.

“What’s her name？ What does she look like？ Maybe I can help you.”

“Really？” I stopped crying and answered， “She is Emma. She has long yellow hair and big eyes. Her nose and mouth are small. She wears a red dress.”

“Guess what！ I’m a postman， and guess who I saw at the post office just now？ Emma！ She’s on an adventure， travelling around the world. But don’t worry， she promised to write to you every day. I’ll make sure to bring her letters to you in the park at the same time every day. ”

The next day at the same time， the “postman” brought me a letter.

How cool！ Emma’s adventures made her look different， but she’s still my amazing doll！ I hugged the new doll and took her home happily.

Many years later， I realized that the “postman” was the famous writer Franz Kafka（弗兰兹·卡夫卡）. He passed away（去世） a few months after giving me that doll， and I found a letter inside the doll. It said，“Every thing you love is very likely to be lost， but in the end， love will return in a different way.（你所爱的一切或许都会失去，但最终，爱会以另一种方式回归。）”
