My Favourite Book（4）

In the past winter holiday， I read a book， My Childhood（《童年》）. It is also taken as Maxim Gorky’s autobiography. I like it very much.

The story happens in his grandfather’s house and it is about his hard childhood. His grandfather was very mean（刻薄的）. One day， the young Gorky tried to dye（染色） a tablecloth（桌布） blue. As a result， his grandfather beat him badly. Fortunately（幸运地）， his grandmother was nice to him. She encouraged him to be strong and honest.

After reading this book， I realize that I have a happy childhood. I don’t have mean grandfather or selfish（自私的） uncles. My family members all love me. I should cherish my life， and take care of those who love me.
