Chinese checkers跳棋

Chinese checkers is characterized by its hexagram - shaped  board，  which  can accommodate up to six players. The main goal of Chinese checkers is to move all your marbles from your end to the opposite point of the star. Players can move their marbles by “ hopping” over a single adjacent marble—one’s own or the opponent’s—and can continue to hop until there’s no more adjacent marble.

跳棋的外形特点在于六边形的棋盘，最多可供六人游戏。跳棋的主要游戏目标是把你所有的弹珠从自己一端移到棋盘的另一端。玩家通过借助相邻弹珠——可以是自己的，也可以是对手的——来使自己的弹珠 “跳跃”前进，直到没有相邻弹珠可跳为止。

Tangram

七巧板

The tangram  is  a  dissection  puzzleconsisting of seven flat polygons which are put together to form shapes. The goal of the game is to replicate a pattern （given only an outline） generally found in a puzzle book using all seven pieces without overlap.

七巧板是一种拼图游戏，由七个扁平的多边形组成，这些多边形放在一起可以组成不同的形状。游戏目标是拼出一个益智书里提供的图形（仅提供了一个图形轮廓），要求使用所有七个形状，且不能有重叠。

Shuttlecock

踢毽子

The shuttlecock is made out of rubber or a plastic disk and attached with many feathers. The player’s goal is to keep the shuttlecock in the air while kicking it only using the feet repeatedly.

毽子由橡胶或塑料小盘制成，上面有许多羽毛。玩家只能用脚不断踢毽子，目标是保持毽子一直不落地。

Marble

A marble is a small spherical object

often made from glass. These balls vary in size and color. Players often use their fingers to “shoot” one marble to hit the opponent’s marble and can acquire it if it was hit.

弹珠是一种小的球形物体，通常由玻璃制成，大小不一且颜色各异。玩家会用手指“射”出一个弹珠去击打对手的弹珠，如果击中就可以获得被击中的弹珠。

Hide-and-seek is a popular children’s game in which players hide themselves in a set place， to be found by one or more seekers.

Bamboo dragonfly

竹蜻蜓

Bamboo dragonfly has a helicopter top axis with a thick string wound around it， with a horizontal blade sticking out from the axis. A player would pull the string and release hands; the bamboo dragonfly will take off vertically in the air like a helicopter.

竹蜻蜓有一个类似直升机的顶轴，上面绕着一根细绳，轴上伸出一个水平叶片。玩家拉动细绳，松开双手，竹蜻蜓就会像直升机一样垂直起飞到空中。

Hoop rolling is both a sport and a child’s game in which a large hoop is rolled along the ground， generally by means of an object wielded by the player. The aim of the game is to keep the hoop upright for long periods of time， or to do various tricks.

滚铁环既是一项运动，也是一种儿童游戏，玩家通过手持一种钩形工具在地面上滚一个大铁环。游戏目标是让铁环长时间滚动，或者做各种杂耍动作。

Beanbags

丢沙包

Throwing beanbags is a popular traditional Chinese game for kids in the 1980s. These toys are  usually  handmade  f r om  parent s  or grandparents . The pitcher will try to hit the opponent with a beanbag; the one that was hit will  be  eliminated from the  game . The opponent who catches the beanbag either will choose to “add a life” or “save a teammate’s life” .

丢沙包是 20 世纪 80 年代儿童喜爱的一种中国传统游戏。这些沙包通常是父母或祖父母手工制作的。投手会试图用沙包去击打对手，去打击的人将被淘汰出局。抓住沙包的对手可以选择“加一条命”，或“救队友一命”。

String figure

翻花绳

A string figure is a design formed by manipulating string on， around， and using one’s fingers or between the fingers of multiple people. String figures may also involve the use of the mouth， wrist， and feet. The game ends when one of the two players cannot think of any next solution to the current figure or when one player fails to hold the figure with hands.

翻花绳就是用自己的手指或是在多人手指之间翻转绳子从而形成形状。翻花绳也可能会用到嘴、手腕和脚。如果两个玩家中的某一个想不出当前图形的下一个可以翻的形状，或者某个玩家绳子散了，游戏就结束。

Chinese jump rope

跳皮筋

The Chinese jump rope is a thin piece of elastic rope that is looped around two pairs of legs. The goal of this game is to hook your legs into the rope to form loops and patterns in a certain sequence. This is often accompanied by a rhyme or song. As each level is completed， the rope is moved higher， making the game more difficult to complete.

跳皮筋用的皮筋细细的、有弹性，绕在两双腿上。游戏目标是你用腿或脚在皮筋上，按一定顺序钩出圈圈和图案。跳皮筋的同时，还会念一段押韵词或唱一首歌。每完成一次，皮筋就被抬高一些，使游戏难度升级。
