This story is from Greek mythology. Narcissus was a young man who wasextremely good-looking. His father was the river god named Cephissus. His motherwas a water-nymph named Liriope. Women and men alike turned their heads toadmire this beautiful boy wherever he went. Narcissus took no notice of otherpeople. He was extremely conceited11. He didn’t care at all what others said or felt.
