My dream career我的职业梦想

1 Since I was a child， I have been addicted to books. I can’t go a single day withoutreading something. As time goes by， I am definitely sure that my dream career is to becomea professional writer like Shakespeare and J.K. Rowling.

2 In order to make my dream come true， I have made it a rule to pick up a pen and justlet my thoughts out every day. As a child， I used to write stories. As a teenager， I wasencouraged by my teachers who told me that I had an innate （与生俱来的） talent forwriting. They knew how passionate I am about writing， and how that passion slips throughmy fingertips to the paper. In my freshman year， I tried to figure out what A MidsummerNight’s Dream and The Tragedy of Julius Caesar were about. Macbeth was much easier tounderstand in my sophomore year. Gradually， I can be inspired by anything： an expression，a song and a movie. Once I get inspired， it’s like the wheels turning faster and faster as Ithink out one possible story after another. I’m working so hard to make a breakthrough inthe competitive world of publishing.

3 I don’t really know the reason why I love writing so much. But what I know is that Iwant to write and leave something behind. I always feelthat there is something in my mind about putting astory down on paper for friends across the globe toread and understand， and about finding just the rightwords to describe what I can see so clearly in my head.Through writing， I have found true happiness and the value of life， which means a lot to me.

4 Now， I have realized my dream career and become a professional writer. As the oldsaying goes，“ Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety⁃nine percent perspiration.” Ithink the secret to achieving a dream career is that we need not just talent， but passionand perseverance， which are essential to us.
