Recently there has been a heated debate in the press as to whether violent video games increase aggression in players. Opinions vary greatly among the public.

Opponents of violent video games claim that there is a direct correlation between playing violent video games and increased aggression. As proof， they cite a Stony Brook University study which found that violent video games triggered violence in teenagers. Those who favor violent video games， however， argue that sociologists have investigated video games for more than two decades but to date have found little evidence showing violence in video games leads to aggression. Video games alone， they contend， can’t explain violent behavior in players. Other factors， such as domestic violence， academic pressure and campus bullying， also play a part.

From my perspective， more research is needed to decide whether there is a link between playing violent video games and aggressive behavior. For now， I recommend that children do more outdoor sports with their peers and only play violent video games in moderation. （168 words）

这篇图表作文可以写三个段落。

China has made long strides in alleviating poverty in the past decade. As can be seen in the bar graph， about 76 million people were living in poverty in 2012， but that number was reduced to zero in 2020.

What accounts for this impressive accomplishment？ The answer lies in three aspects. First， the Chinese government launched the rural revitalization strategy at the beginning of the 21st century， which has helped millions of farmers beef up their income. Improved education is also a contributing factor. As an increasing number of  farmers in the countryside received a better education， they were better able to employ advanced technologies to shake themselves off poverty. Most important is the Go West policy that China introduced in 2000， which has gone a long way towards channeling resources into the development of poverty-stricken areas in Western China.

Despite the achievement， now is no time to rest on our laurels. Considering a large proportion of rural residents subsist just above the poverty line， there is still a long way for us to go before they live a well-to-do life. （181 words）
