依托“任务”,让英语课堂与实际生活相连

【教学目标】
1.能初步感知be going to的用法,能理解并朗读课文。
2.能够初步了解电子邮件的格式。
3.能够谈论Anna一家是如何过中国新年的。
【重点难点】
1.能理解并朗读课文。
2.能够用学过的英语知识描述Anna一家是如何过中国新年的。
3.能通过学习,加深对我国传统文化的理解,热爱传统文化,并懂得保护以及传承中国传统文化。
【教学过程】
Step 1. Pre-reading
1. Play a game: I say, you judge.
T: Please say “Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!”, if it is true. Please say“No.No.No.”, if it is false.
T: I teach Chinese.
S: No. No. No.
T: You have a computer in your home.
S: Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!
T: You can write emails.
S: Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!
2. Lead-in.
T: Look, this is an email. Whom is this email to? Who is this email from? What’s the subject of this email?
S: This email is to Su Hai. It is from Anna. It’s about Anna’s family’s plan for the Chinese New Year.
设计意图:爱玩是小学生的天性,采用游戏方式导入新课,有助于激励学生以最佳的状态进入学习。在游戏中巧妙引出“email”,随后引导学生观察email的格式,迅速抓住关键信息,为进一步理解课文做好铺垫。
3. Know about Chinese New Year.
T: Today, we’ll talk about Chinese New Year. Look at the calendar. Can you find Chinese New Year’s Day?
(呈现日历帮学生厘清三个时间段:除夕、大年初一、大年初二。)
T: What do people usually do at Chinese New Year? Let’s enjoy some pictures about Chinese New Year.(呈现图片,让学生回答与春节有关的活动。)
S: Clean the house, buy new clothes, eat dumplings....
4. Guessing game: 根据所给的英文关键词猜与春节相关的英文表达。
设计意图:新课标指出,英语教学活动的内容和形式要贴近学生的生活实际,符合学生的认知水平和生活经验。在图片提示下,学生联系已有的生活经验描述春节日期与春节活动。在唤醒春节的有关记忆之后,再以学生喜闻乐见的猜谜形式,让他们根据相关英文表达猜单词或词组,并学习与春节活动相关的三个短语,为下一步语篇学习奠定基础。
Step 2. While-reading
1. Watch and tick.
T: What are Anna and her family going to do at Chinese New Year? Please watch the cartoon and tick the pictures.
2. Read the picture book.
T: Read the picture book Page 2-3, underline the key words about the activities.
T: What are Anna and her family going to do before Chinese New Year?
(引导生总结学习、阅读段落的方法:读——圈画——说)
设计意图:教师引导学生学习故事的第一部分,了解春节前夕人们的活动,并进行学习方法的总结与指导,为后面学生小组合作学习其他段落做好示范。授之以鱼不如授之以渔,适时的学法指导让学生习得一种方法,形成一种能力,为未来学习作好储备。
3. Complete the picture book.
T: What are they going to do on other days? Read the short passages carefully. Then place them under the right pictures in the picture book.
(制作绘本:同桌合作,通过看图、阅读文字,理解课文内容,并将文字贴在合适的位置,使图文匹配,使绘本完整。)
T: What are they going to do?
S: They are going to ....
(学生自行组织语言并回答。)
设计意图:将传统的语篇学习模式改成“Make picture books” 的任务型活动,能够激发学生的阅读兴趣,促进其合作意识,培养其自主学习能力。引导学生运用学习第一段落时总结的学习方法“读——圈画——说”,进行自主实践,体验学有所得的成就感。
Step 3. Post-reading

T: Excellent. Boys and girls, do you buy new clothes before Chinese New Year?
S: Yes, we do.
T: Do you make cakes and tangyuan before Chinese New Year?
S: No, we make dumplings and baozi.
T: Do you find any differences between Hong Kong and our city? Discuss with your partner.
(学生讨论并汇报两地春节习俗的异同。)
3. Talk about your plan for Chinese New Year.
T: Just now we talked about Anna’s plan for Chinese New Year. How about yours? What are you going to do during this Chinese New Year?
S: I’m going to ....
设计意图:根据学生的生活经验和已有的知识背景,将自己的新年活动与Anna在香港过新年的活动进行比较,了解不同地区的文化差异。在自然、真实的交流中完成理解语言、运用语言的整体目标。同时引导落实本课的情感目标,加深对中国传统文化的理解,鼓励学生热爱传统文化,并懂得保护、传承中国传统文化。接着,引导学生谈论自己今年的春节计划,以教材为语用平台,使学生将英语学习与自己的生活相联系,关联前后知识,形成学以致用的好习惯,努力实现“用英语”的美好愿景,让英语学习从知识的拓展向课堂学习的生活化发生转变。
