群文阅读中读写结合教学的实践与思考0

【摘要】在高中英语教学中,写作是学生综合运用语言能力的重要体现。本文以“Music”为例的读写结合教学设计为题,探讨了阅读在提高学生英语写作能力中的应用。通过阅读和写作相结合,本文提出了一种创新的英语写作教学模式,为高中英语写作教学提供了一种新的视角和实践策略。

外语课程的人文性主要体现的是教育的主体“人”的本质属性,即人之所以为人的特质,承担着培养学生如何做人,即如何通过外语学习、理解并践行人类共同的、最基本的、最优美的价值观念,这是语言教育的根本特征[1]。音乐是跨越时代的艺术,深植于人类文化的根基。在教育领域,音乐教育被广泛认为是培养学生审美情感、创造力和团队协作能力的重要途径。因此,以音乐为主题的文本在多个版本的教材里都有体现,比如,人教版必修二 Unit 5 Music,阅读文本讲述了贝多芬的传记;北师大版必修三Unit 7 Art,阅读文本讲述了贝多芬虽然身处逆境,但是意志坚定,创作了如第五交响乐等著名乐章;译林版选择性必修一 Unit 2 The universal language—Beethoven: a remarkable life,文本讲述了贝多芬的励志故事,他失聪后创作了第九交响乐,引起了很大的轰动。通过群文阅读,我们不难发现,这几篇文本都介绍了贝多芬的坚韧品质以及他的音乐成就。为了更好地激发学生的兴趣与思考,教师可以尝试开展群文阅读和整合,这样可以给学生提供一个全面立体的贝多芬形象,让学生在多角度、多维度的学习中,加深对其音乐成就的理解。

一、文本解读

在群文阅读中,教师可以引导学生分别从background,achievements,characteristics,influence等四个方面展开思考,这种多角度的思考方式有助于学生更全面地理解文本内容,进而提升他们的综合语言能力[2]如表1:

教师还可以引导学生在阅读文本时整理和主题相关联的词汇如表2:

二、文本应用

写作考查思维品质,强调书面输出和与其相关的书面输入之间的衔接度、书面输出本身内部的连贯性,以及关键词覆盖情况,重点都落在逻辑思维层面的考核[3]。该题型基于阅读,具有与阅读的高密度关联性。其次,从阅读与写作的认知过程来看,两者都是意义的创造过程,是“读者—作者”的互动过程。

(一)迁移应用一:应用文写作

2023年全国甲卷主要考查人物描写,要求学生讲述人物事迹和意义,教师可以以此为依托,命制一篇应用文写作来巩固此类体裁的写作,例如:

1.假如你是李华,在你校即将到来的艺术节活动中,校报将开展主题为“A Musical Genius”的征文活动,请你写一篇短文投稿,内容包括:

(1)人物简介及事迹;

(2)意义或启示。

In the world of music, there are numerous extraordinary musicians who have made great contributions. When it comes to the most influential one, Beethoven undoubtedly takes the lead.

Born in Germany, Beethoven was well known for his remarkable talent and perseverance. His compositions, such as the iconic Symphony No. 9, showcase his ability to express powerful emotions through music. What inspires people most is his unwavering dedication to music and his ability to break the limitations of his own physical challenges, which make him a true musical genius.

Beethoven’s legacy serves as a reminder that true genius knows no boundaries and can overcome any obstacle. His spirit will continue to enlighten people of all generations.

2.假定你是李华,你们学校下周将要举办一个以“Perseverance makes a difference”为主题的英语演讲比赛,请根据下面要求写一篇英语演讲稿:

(1)毅力的重要性;

(2)举例说明。

(二)迁移应用二:读后续写

1.教师可以引导学生在阅读文本的时候总结贝多芬表演前、中、后的心理活动变化、体现出来的个人品质以及采取的应对策略如表3。

根据从文本中整理出来的语言素材,教师可以引导学生进行续写微技能训练,案例如表4。

2.以2023年新高考I卷读后续写为例,文章讲述了作者在中学时拒绝参加写作比赛,但被老师鼓励后,作者逐渐享受到了写作的乐趣。教师可以引导学生使用上面整理出来的素材写出作者上台前、中、后的变化,实现知识到能力的转变。范例如下:

A few weeks later, when I almost forgot the contest, there came the news. Upon hearing that I won the first prize in the contest, I was washed over by a flush of disbelief, with my eyes widened and mouth open in astonishment. My shock finally gave way to a great sense of joy when I was invited to the award ceremony. As the spotlight cast a warm glow upon my excited face, I walked up to the stage and accepted the prize with my heart pounding with anticipation. A wave of achievement surged through me when the audience broke into thunderous applause, their cheers echoing in the room. Showered with whistles and support, I stared at the shining trophy in my hands and couldn’t wait to share my happiness with my teacher.

3.在读后续写的练习中,结尾句显得尤为重要,它不仅总结了全文的核心思想,还能给读者留下深刻的印象。一个好的结尾句通常会强调主旨词,从而确保读者能够理解作者想要传达的主要观点。例如,在讨论积极向上的人生态度时,可以在主旨句中强调“hope”和“courage”,让这些关键词成为读者记忆的焦点。以“人与自我”这一主题语境中的克服逆境实现自我成长为例,教师可以引导学生对整理出的贝多芬的个人品质相关的素材进行合理迁移,写出简洁、明确和有力的主旨句,例如:

I learned that the power of the perseverance and unwavering commitment can overcome the most daunting challenges.

I came to understand that the unyielding resolve of the human spirit can prevail against even the most challenging obstacles, imprinting a lasting influence on my journey of personal growth.

三、教学反思

总之,群文阅读在写作教学中的应用,是一种创新且有效的教学策略。它不仅能够提升学生的语文素养,还能够培养他们的综合素养,为他们的全面发展奠定坚实的基础[4]。随着教育的不断进步和创新,我们有理由相信,群文阅读与写作教学的结合,将会在未来的教育实践中发挥更大的作用。
