The River Snail Maiden 田螺姑娘

Long long ago， there was a kind but poor young man. One day， while working hard in the field， he found a big river snail. He took it home and put it in a water vat.

The next day， when he returned home from the field， he found his house became clean. There were some nice dishes on the table. This happened every day， and the young man wondered who was helping him. To his amazement， he saw the river snail turn into a beautiful young woman！ She was the River Snail Maiden. She cleaned the house， washed the clothes， and cooked meals for him.

Soon， they fell in love and got married. They lived happily together.
