高考中的读后续写一般是记叙文，考生可以通过画表格的方式把握故事的背景：时间、地点、人物和事件。故事的背景都隐藏着故事的发展线索，通过分析故事的背景，考生可以找到情节发展的大致方向。

2. 厘清故事情节，捕捉可续写点

续写短文多以记叙文故事类文章或者叙议类文章为主，故事的情节曲折、起伏，但是，故事线索的逻辑性比较强。考生可以通过画思维导图的方式，迅速找到可续写点，从而顺着原文的思路续写文章，并适当发散。

3. 提炼原文主题，捕捉可续写点

主题是一篇文章的灵魂，是对写人、记事、写景、状物等内容的概括和提炼。考生可以用“何人何时何地做了何事，结果如何，为什么”的句式概括主题。在续写时，续写内容要时刻紧扣主题。续写结尾内容可以照应首段，达到首尾呼应、升华主题的效果。
