这个故事出自《方舆胜览》，讲述了大诗人李白小时候贪玩儿厌学，有一天上课时偷跑出来，偶遇一位老婆婆用铁杵磨针，对他触动很大。从那以后他发奋读书，最终学有所成。这个故事告诉我们：想要完成一件事情、达到一个目标，要有坚持不懈的精神，要做到自律，时刻警醒自己，看到别人的优点也要及时借鉴，不断地完善自己。

Li Bai is a household name in China. 在中国，李白是家喻户晓的人物。
When Li Bai was a teenager， he met the famous poet He Zhizhang（贺知章）in Chang’an. 青年时期，李白在长安遇到了著名诗人贺知章。
Li Bai showed some of his poems to this poet. He Zhizhang thought the poems were out of this world and called Li Bai an immortal.
李白把他的诗作展示给贺知章看，贺知章认为李白的诗超凡脱俗，称李白为“天上谪仙人”。
People gave Li Bai the title “Poet Immortal”.
人们送给李白“诗仙”的雅号。
There are 27 of Li Bai’s poems in the famous collection Three Hundred Tang Poems.
